But I think it is very natural that words related to beauty could be used in the Beauty Contest. So it was very likely that he wanted to make use of the golden opportunity to show off his English. Seeing from the corpora, one will find that this word is seldom used even by native speakers.

e.g. I am listening to some music.
Also, the word "rideo" should be spelled as "radio".
